What PRP actually is
Platelets arrive first when you cut yourself, carrying the growth factors your body uses to rebuild tissue. PRP takes a small sample of your own blood, concentrates those platelets, and delivers them into the tissue you want repaired — a follicle bed, a worn joint, scarred skin. No donor material, no synthetic drug, all in one visit.
We look at the area, your history and what you're hoping for, then tell you whether PRP is a reasonable tool for it. Sometimes it isn't.
A small sample, drawn here, no different from a routine lab test. You stay in the chair while it's processed.
Spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the rest of the blood, then drawn off with sterile, single-use kits. This is the step that turns blood into PRP.
Injected into the target tissue with fine needles, or driven into the skin through microneedling channels. For joints we may use ultrasound guidance.

The preparation is the same every time. What changes is where it goes and how it gets there.
PRP injected across the scalp to stimulate dormant follicles and improve circulation, for men and women with thinning or early hair loss. No surgery, no scars, no daily drug — about an hour a session.
PRP injected into a painful joint or injured tendon to calm inflammation and support repair — for people told surgery is the next step who'd rather try something else first. No steroids, no daily pain medication.
PRP placed in penile tissue to support blood flow, tissue repair and sensitivity — the Priapus Shot, or P-Shot, for men. A procedure rather than a prescription, with no daily pill attached to it.
PRP microneedled or injected into the face to stimulate collagen and elastin. The Vampire Facelift adds dermal filler to restore lost volume and lift, without surgery.
PRP delivered by microneedling or direct injection to soften pitted scarring and even out texture and discoloration by supporting the skin's own collagen production.
How it's delivered
For targets below the skin — a joint, a tendon, the follicle bed, genital tissue. Fine needles, topical numbing where appropriate, ultrasound guidance when placement inside a joint matters. Improvement builds over weeks, not overnight.
For skin, PRP is spread across the area while microneedling opens thousands of temporary channels in the surface. The platelets absorb far deeper than they would alone, and the needling itself triggers a collagen response. This is how the Vampire Facial and most acne scar work is done.
Being straight with you
It asks your body to do the repair, so it needs something left to work with. We'd rather tell you that at the consultation than take your money and hope.

Before you call
It's your own blood, concentrated. We draw a small sample, spin it to separate the platelets, and place that concentrate where we want repair to happen. Platelets carry the growth factors your body already uses to heal tissue — PRP just puts a lot of them in one spot. Nothing synthetic, nothing from a donor.
It depends on the area and how you respond. Regenerative work is usually a short series spaced weeks apart, sometimes followed by maintenance. We'll tell you the number of sessions we're recommending, and the price, in writing before you start — not after the first appointment.
The draw feels like a routine lab test. Placement is done with fine needles and, where appropriate, topical numbing. Expect soreness or redness at the site for a day or two — after a joint injection that can be more noticeable, and we'll ask you to keep to light activity at first. Most people go back to their day the same afternoon.
No, and we'll say so. It works best where there's still healthy tissue to work with. Certain blood and platelet conditions, active infection at the treatment site, and some medications rule it out entirely. That's what the consultation is for.
We're a self-pay practice and don't bill insurance for PRP. That's why we put your plan and your price in writing before you commit.
