How hormone care works here

Nobody starts hormones here on symptoms alone.

Low energy, broken sleep and weight that won't move have a dozen possible causes, and only some are hormonal. The first two visits are how we find out which — before anyone writes a prescription.

01

Consultation

Symptoms, history, medications. Then we decide which panel you actually need — and which tests you can skip.

02

Targeted bloodwork

Drawn here in the office. Hormone markers, plus the things that impersonate hormone problems — thyroid and basic metabolic markers.

03

Going through your results

Your provider goes through every number with you — by phone or at the office, whichever suits you — rather than emailing a PDF for you to decode. Dr. Stratt consults on your case and on what gets prescribed. You end up knowing what's out of range, what it explains, and what treatment costs, in writing.

04

Treat, then re-test

If therapy is indicated we start conservatively, re-check labs on a set schedule and adjust. We keep re-testing, rather than just refilling.

Women

Bioidentical Hormone Therapy for Women

Bioidentical hormone therapy for perimenopause, menopause and hormone loss after a hysterectomy, using hormones structurally identical to the ones your body makes.

  • Hot flashes, night sweats and sleep disruption
  • Mood swings, irritability and brain fog
  • Low libido, fatigue and weight change
  • Dosed to your lab profile, not a template

Men

Testosterone Therapy for Men

Testosterone replacement for men with a documented deficiency — age-related decline or hypogonadism — by injection, cream, patch or pellet, with levels re-checked rather than assumed.

  • Confirmed on labs before treatment starts
  • Energy, stamina, mood and mental clarity
  • Libido, muscle mass and body composition
  • Dose adjusted on repeat testing

Men

Bioidentical Hormone Therapy for Men

Broader than testosterone alone — for andropause and age-related decline, where fatigue, low drive, mood and body composition move together.

  • Andropause and age-related decline
  • Post-surgical hormone imbalance
  • Bioidentical hormones, dosed to your labs

Hormone Pellet Therapy

A pellet about the size of a grain of rice, placed under the skin at the hip in a one- to two-minute office procedure — no stitches, no downtime. Steady dose for several months.

  • Steady levels without daily creams or weekly shots
  • For women and men
  • Compounded to your lab results

Peptide Therapy

Peptides are short chains of amino acids the body uses as signals. We use them selectively — alongside hormone care rather than instead of it, and only where your evaluation supports it.

  • Used alongside hormone care, not before it
  • Prescribed and supervised in-office
  • Discussed when we go over your results

Why patients come in

What low hormones tend to look like.

None of these prove a hormone problem on their own. They're a reason to get tested — which is a different thing from a diagnosis.

Women often describe

  • Hot flashes and night sweats
  • Waking at 3am and not getting back to sleep
  • Mood swings, anxiety, a shorter fuse
  • Brain fog and word-finding trouble
  • Low libido, and weight that diet doesn't touch

Men often describe

  • Flat energy from mid-afternoon on
  • Loss of drive, at work and at home
  • Reduced libido and erectile changes
  • Strength and muscle tone slipping
  • Irritability, low mood, weight around the middle

What we rule out first

  • Thyroid disease — it mimics low hormones closely
  • Iron and vitamin deficiencies
  • Untreated sleep problems
  • Medications that suppress hormone levels
  • Metabolic issues and depression, which overlap heavily

Choosing a hormone clinic

The differences that actually matter.

Hormone therapy attracts a lot of shortcuts. Here's what's worth asking any clinic before you start.

What to watch for
  • A prescription issued off a symptom questionnaire
  • Lab results emailed as a PDF you interpret yourself
  • The same protocol and dose for everyone
  • Refills that continue without re-testing
  • Pricing revealed after you've committed
LifeBoost
  • Nothing prescribed until labs are back
  • Results explained by your provider — by phone or in the office
  • Physician-supervised — Dr. Stratt consults on your protocol
  • Scheduled re-testing and dose adjustment
  • Price in writing before treatment begins
  • One Boca Raton office, women and men, since 2014

Safety and honesty about the medicine

What we tell every patient before they start.

Hormone therapy is a prescription treatment with real risks alongside its benefits, and it is not right for everyone. Personal and family history of breast or prostate cancer, blood clots, liver disease and cardiovascular disease all bear on whether treatment is indicated, and at what dose. That is what the evaluation is for.

Compounded bioidentical preparations — including pellets — are made by FDA-registered compounding pharmacies. Registered is not the same as approved, and we'll tell you plainly which category your prescription falls into.

We're self-pay, so there's no insurance authorization to wait on and no surprise bill afterwards. Patients come from Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach and Deerfield Beach — one office, the same small team each time.

Before you call

Hormone therapy questions we get most.

How do I know whether my symptoms are actually hormonal?

You don't, and neither do we, until we test. Fatigue, weight gain, poor sleep, low libido and brain fog have several possible causes — thyroid disease, iron deficiency, sleep apnea, depression and medication side effects among them. That is the whole reason we run labs before writing anything: to separate a hormone problem from the things that impersonate one.

What bloodwork do you run before starting hormone therapy?

Which panel you need is decided at your consultation, based on your symptoms, sex, age and history. For men it generally includes total and free testosterone, estradiol and a baseline prostate marker. For women it depends on where you are in the menopause transition. Either way we check thyroid and basic metabolic markers, because those overlap with hormone symptoms constantly.

What happens if my labs come back normal?

Then we tell you that, and we don't sell you hormones. Dr. Stratt is direct about this: if your bloodwork doesn't show a deficiency, treatment isn't indicated. We'll go through what your numbers do show, what else could explain how you feel, and where to take it next.

Injections, cream or pellets — how do you decide?

It depends on the hormone being replaced, how steady your levels need to be, and honestly on what you'll stick with. Injections give the most dose control; creams, gels and patches are the easiest to adjust or stop; pellets release steadily for several months with no daily routine. We go through the trade-offs once your results are back, and you choose with your provider.

This page is for general information and is not medical advice. Whether any treatment is appropriate for you is determined after evaluation and, where indicated, laboratory testing.
