Dr. Stratt was born and raised in Philadelphia. He was a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist at Haverford High School, then entered the five-year joint BS/MD programme run by Penn State University and Jefferson Medical College. He finished medical school at 22 and took the alumni prize for the highest grade point average in his class. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Radiology, and why it still matters here

He was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at Jefferson and became Director of the Department of Radiology at William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton, New Jersey. He practised as a board-certified radiologist for many years.

That background is not incidental to what he does now. Injecting a joint accurately depends on knowing exactly what sits under the needle, and he has injected thousands of them. It is the same anatomy knowledge he now applies to orthopedic PRP and pain management.

The move to age management medicine

He joined the sports medicine societies in the 1980s, when much of the early research in sports nutrition, rehabilitation, exercise science and hormone optimisation was first being published, and followed hormone replacement from its early days.

As radiology became more computer-driven and less patient-facing, he moved back toward working with patients directly. He relocated to Florida and completed a formal fellowship from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine with the University of South Florida in 2006, then began practising age management medicine full time.

What he does at LifeBoost
